| Introduction | With a broad beachsplendid buildings nearby, Haeundae Beach is a modern resort located in the city-center. But it offers diverse scenes including a small fishing port with a touch of the countryside, coastal scenic wondersan esplanade overlooking the beach. Walking up the rocky hill along the seashore, you can get to the skirt of Dongbaekseom Island where a mermaid statue is sitting silently. This place was once an island but now has changed into a land filled up with sand piles swept from a nearby creek. The esplanade circling the island is known as a popular place for dating in Busan. On the opposite side, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sandy beach which embraces the waves breaking in time to the rhythmical wing gestures of the seagulls flying above. Haeundae Beach is equipped with diverse state-of-the-art convenient facilities harmonized with the beauty of the natural surroundings. The beach opens from July 1 to August 31 every year.
